Polypropylene (PP) Characteristics
Polypropylene is known for its good mechanical properties, heat resistance, chemical resistance, and excellent moisture barrier properties. Homopolymers exhibit high stiffness, copolymers have impact and ductility advantages, and random copolymers display good clarity and have low melting points.
Recycled Polypropylene (rPP)
Recycled polypropylene (rPP) is divided into two types: post-consumer recycled (PCR) and post-industrial recycled (PIR) resins. Post-consumer PP is a recycled product from consumer-generated waste. Post-industrial polypropylene is a recycled product of waste generated by manufacturers. Recyclable thermoplastic polymers offer significant environmental and cost-saving benefits, reducing the need for raw materials (propylene) for new products.
